​Please note, due to essential electrical maintenance in our office building we will be without power tomorrow afternoon and will therefore be closing the office (afternoon only).

£500 Thank You Payment For Personal Assistants (PAs)

Information received from The Scottish Government regarding the £500 bonus payment due to Personal Assistants who worked through the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic:

"A dedicated online and paper based application form, administered by Scotland Excel on behalf of the Scottish Government, will be launched on Wednesday 30 June 2021 to pay Personal Assistants who are eligible to receive their £500 payment for NHS and Social Care staff.

The Scottish Government has worked with disabled led organisations and payroll providers to find the quickest way to reach Personal Assistants. We would invite you to work with your Personal Assistants to support them in making their claim’.

The Scottish Government recognises the unique place that Personal Assistants and Personal Assistant Employers hold within social care and we encourage all eligible Personal Assistants to claim for this payment in recognition of their invaluable work throughout the pandemic.’

A Personal Assistant is eligible if they are directly paid by an employer who receives funds to employ staff from Independent Living Fund (ILF) Scotland through their fund or from a Local Authority through Option 1 Social Care (Self Directed Support) Act 2013, and also if they are a PA to an adult and were paid to be their PA over a continuous 4-week period between 17 March 2020 and 30 November 2020; this is the qualifying period.

Spring Newsletter

Our Spring Newsletter is heading out to all payroll clients at the moment - everyone should receive a paper copy within the next 2-3 weeks (this will usually be sent with the next payslips you receive).  If you can't wait that long(!) you can also download a PDF version via the link to the right.   
The newsletter contains some general information and reminders and we've also included an update to some employment law changes which come into force from April.  Please do have a read through of the newsletter and if you, or your staff, have any queries about anything at all please don't hesitate to contact us.

NEW! Online payslips...

We're excited to announce that we will now be offering online payslips to our clients via PayDashboard.

The online slips will provide a quick, easy and secure way for employers and employees to access their pay information and additional services, with each employer and employee having their own secure login which will allow them to access their account 24/7 via any computer, smartphone or tablet.

This will be an optional service for those who wish to use it and there will be no additional charge. Initially we will be looking to move all clients who currently receive payslips by email on to the new system, providing a higher level of security and data protection than email; with a view to expanding this option to all clients over the coming weeks too.

Letters are currently going out to the clients being offered this service first however, if you currently receive payslips by post, and are keen to move to online slips now, please drop us an email and we'll send you information ASAP.  Further info and demonstrations of the system can also be found at: http://www.paydashboard.com/

The first delivery of our new look leaflets has just arrived! We think they give a simpler, at a glance, overview of the services we offer and they look great too!

​Our latest information mailshot is going out to our payroll clients this month - click here to download your copy.

This mailshot covers Workplace Pensions and how it will affect you and your staff - tailored information will also be sent to each client, and their employees, as we approach the assigned Auto Enrolment Staging Date.
Many of our clients have already reached the AE Staging Date, with all others due to reach theirs by early 2018, and all newly registered employers will have to assess their staff for pensions immediately from Oct 2017.

Christmas and New Year

The office will close for the festive break from 2pm this Friday (23rd Dec), reopening as normal from Thursday 5th January.

If wages for your staff fall within this period, we will have already contacted you regarding changes to processing of wages on this occasion but, if you are unsure of changes please contact us ASAP.

As always over Christmas, although we are closed, we will still be popping in to deal with anything urgent so, if you do need to contact us over the festive break, please email or leave a phone message and we will get back to you as necessary.​

We would also like to wish all of our clients, their families and staff a Merry Christmas and best wishes for the New Year!

Jobs Board

After positive feedback from clients earlier this year, we are happy to announce that have now added a Jobs Board page to our website!

This is a "middle-man" type function where our clients can send us details of jobs they have available, we will advertise positions on the board and then forward details of applicants back to the client. Although quite basic for now, we will look at tweaking/improving things if it proves successful and we hope that it may help our clients as many seem to be looking for staff at the moment. This is also a free service.
